Boot for mountaineering comprises a plastics upper provided with non-slip sole and connected with a leather shaft. Upper and shaft are overlappingly stitched together. That side of the sole opposite the upper is covered with an insole of heat-insulating polyurethane foam. The upper may be fur-lined.
