发明名称 PLATE GRID FOR LEAD STORAGE BATTERY
摘要 PURPOSE:To increase the intensity and enhance the manufacturing efficiency of a plate grid for a lead storage battery by reinforcing the thin intermediate part of the grid either by making the width of the side frame bones of the intermediate part large or by providing the intermediate part with parallel auxiliary bone. CONSTITUTION:A plastic grid 1 made of an acid-proof synthetic resin such as polypropylene, consists of a thin part (A) which has a thickness of (a) and on which a lead film is to be formed, a thick part (B) which has a thickness of (b) and on which a lead film is not to be formed, and an intermediate part (D) which has the same thickness (a) as the part (A). The width (c) of the side frame bones of the intermediate part (D) is sufficiently larger than the width (f) of those of the part (a), and a little larger than the width (g) of those of the part (B). Since one end of the lead film is located in the part (D), the length of the part (D) is adjusted so that the formational variation of the lead film is absorbed by the part (D). The length (e) of the exposed part (E) of the part (D) is preferred to be small, although it varies according to the formational variation of the lead film and can be within the range of the lenth (d) of the part (D) (d>e). Since the width (c) of the frame bone is made sufficiently large, the exposed part (E) has an intensity almost equal to that of the part (A).
