PURPOSE:To enable recording, by a system wherein an ink-supplying tank, an ink-supplying sheet and a recording head are integrated with each other, and an ink infiltrated in the ink-supplying sheet which is porous is ejected by a recording head. CONSTITUTION:A liquid ink contained in the ink-supplying tank 44 is fed to a recording head 42 part through an ink-permeable substance of the ink- supplying sheet 41 under the osmotic pressure of the ink. When a voltage is impressed on a recording electrode 43, an electric field is concentrated on an ink meniscus in a pore 45 of the sheet 41 making contact with the electrode 43. An electrostatic force generated by the action of the field overcomes the surface tension of the ink, whereby the ink is made to fly onto a recording medium 46, thereby performing recording. |
