The invention relates to a method of treating the waste air from a continuous purification system, and a system for carrying out the method. The saturated waste air emerging from the continuous purification system 3 is cooled in a heat exchanger 12. The condensate obtained is trapped and fed to the bottom 7 of the continuous purification system 3 via a condensate line 26. The dried waste gas can be discharged or mixed as circulating air with outside air and reused after a suitable treatment (Fig. 1).
