<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid fuel cell with a negative electrode on which the oxidation reaction of liquid fuel smoothly proceeds. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid fuel cell comprises a positive electrode 8 reducing oxygen, a negative electrode 9 oxidizing the fuel, and an electrolyte layer 10 interposed between the positive electrode 8 and the negative electrode 9. The negative electrode 9 contains a non-ion-conductive non-fluorine group binder, and the binder contains at least one compound selected from polyethylene, polypropylene, nylon, polyester, ionomer, buthyl rubber, copolymer of ehtylene/vinyl acetate, copolymer of ethylene ethylacrylate, and copolymer of ethylene acrylic acid. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
