PURPOSE:To provide a vibration isolator which can absorb vibration over a wide frequency zone. CONSTITUTION:Inside a rectangular housing 18 of a base plate 10, a partition 30 is inserted and this partition 30 is fixed to the housing 18. A hollow part 18A, a rubber 20 and a diaphragm 26 of the housing 18 constitute a liquid chamber 28, and a circular hole 34 is formed at the center of the partition 30. A valve 38 is brought into contact with the circular hole 34 from an upper part of the partition 30 so as to separate a main liquid chamber 28A from an auxiliary liquid chamber 28B. The valve 38 is fixed to the tip end of a driving shaft 40, and this driving shaft 40 is connected to a motor 42 through a gear box 41. When the valve 38 is located at a second position (position shown by a solid line in Fig. 1), an interval 39 whose opening area is wider than the opening area of the circular hole 34 is formed between the valve 38 and a chamber wall of the main liquid chamber 28A. |
