PURPOSE:To provide a cell housing device which is high in reliability, easy to be manufactured at low, cost, and can be massproduced. CONSTITUTION:A cell housing device to be detachably mounted onto a printed board 20 is composed of a cell case 10 for housing a button type cell 1 therein which is monolithically formed by press working of a metallic thin sheet. The cell case 10 is furnished with an upper plate section 12 having a projected section 14, plural number of side plate sections 11 holding the cell 1, and paired side plate leg sections 15. Each end section of the side plate leg sections 15 a bent contact locking section 16 is formed, and the printed board 20 is provided with an insertion hole 21 and an engaging groove 22 communicated with the insertion hole 21. Each side plate leg section 15 goes into the engaging hole 22 out of the insertion hole 21 wherein the contact locking section 16 is firmly brought into contact with a second conductive pattern 26 on the back surface 20b of the printed board 20 while being subjected to elastic force. The projected section 14 is firmly brought into contact with a positive electrode 2 because the upper plate section 12 is deflected. A negative electrode 3 is concurrently brought into contact with a first conductive pattern 25 on the front surface 20a of the printed board 20. With this constitution, the negative and positive electrodes 3 and 2 are surely connected electrically to the first and second conductive patterns 25 and 26 respectively. |
