PURPOSE: An unlocking method for preventing a not-ready phenomenon due to a PCB(Printed Circuit Board) offset current on an HDD(Hard Disk Drive) is provided to prevent the not-ready phenomenon when a head comes out to a data region without being parked by the PCB offset current. CONSTITUTION: As a disk is rotated by operation of a spindle motor responding to power-on, a gray code representing location information is read from the head on the disk(202). If the gray code is invalid, unlatch control is performed after parking control(200). If the gray code is valid or the unlatch control is performed, track search, bias calibration, and gain calculation are performed in order(212).
