PURPOSE:To precisely judge the state of the density of outputted image by comparing both images with each other by a method wherein both the images or a first image formed on the basis of image data inputted in accordance with the command of a commanding means and a second image formed on the basis of test pattern generated in accordance with the command of the commanding means are simultaneously formed and, in addition, the second image is outputted at the predetermined position on recording medium. CONSTITUTION:A generating means 9 generates a test pattern and, at the same time, a commanding means 10 commands the output of the test pattern. Further, inputting means 1-3 input image data and, at the same time, an image forming means 44 forms simultaneously a first image on the basis of image data inputted in accordance with the command of the commanding means 10 and a second image on the basis of test pattern generated in accordance with the command of the commanding means 10. In accordance with the command of the commanding means 10, an outputting means 10 simultaneously outputs the first and the second images. Furthermore, a controlling means 6 controls so as to output the second image 2 at the predetermined position on recording medium. As a result, the state of the density of outputted image can be judged precisely. |
