MODERATELY HIGH GAIN MICROSTRIP PATCH CAVITY ANTENNA

An antenna element is disclosed capable of providing a moderately high directional gain. The antenna element structure rests on a ground plane and includes at least one radiating element printed on a microwave dielectric substrate at the bottom or contained within a cavity. The antenna further includes a dielectric radome covering the top of the cavity. Within the cavity are two more dielectric substrates arranged in layers and a number of reflectors.
