Piezoelectric actuator drive control arrangement - uses first and second inductances coupled together to form part of feedback path for LC-series oscillation circuit

An arrangement for drive-control of a piezoelectric actuator in which the capacitance of the piezoelectric actuator (P) and a first inductance (PW) form an LC-series oscillatory circuit. In order to minimise the energy (power) loss in the arrangement, a second inductance (SW) is coupled to the first inductance (PW) for feedback of the LC-series oscillation circuit. It is connected to the control input of an amplifier (V). The amplifier is connected to buffer capacitor (CE) and to the actuator (P) so that energy can transfer via the amplifier to the buffer capacitor.
