Production method for decorative tiles

Various materials (16) are first consolidated into a block (1e) which is filled with e.g. tinted concrete. The concrete is left to set and then the block is cut up to produce the tiles (7e) which possess different cut planes (8e) of the various embedded materials. The pieces of material may have the same or different composition and colouring, and are larger-sized than at least one of the tile dimension.
