PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for producing a pressure-sensitive adhesive tape by using a tube filled with a pressure-sensitive adhesive. SOLUTION: A skin tube E filled with a pressure-sensitive adhesive composition is allowed to enter an apparatus C having a cylindrical member A. While the skin tube is traveling inside the cylindrical member, it is cut in the longer direction to form a skin tape H. The skin tape H is separated from the pressure sensitive adhesive composition so as to leave some adhesive composition on the skin tape. The separated pressure-sensitive adhesive composition I is discharged out of the apparatus through an exit. The skin tape separated from the pressure-sensitive adhesive and having a layer of the pressure-sensitive adhesive remaining unseparated is rolled up.
