<p>The present invention is a capacitive force sensor which has a force sensing detector (20) formed from a plurality of conducting plates (30, 32, 34), dielectric layers (22, 24), a variable feedback providing circuit (46), insulating plates (36, 38) for housing the force sensing detector, and the feedback providing circuit. The detector provides a signal to the circuit in response to pressure, and the circuit provides feedback output in response to the signal from the force sensing detector. The housing can take the form of a squeeze ball (80), a squeeze cylinder (90), a hitting target (110), a baseball glove (180), a golf glove (200), or can be implemented as part of an actual grip (190), such as for a golf club.</p> |
