<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize lower power consumption by controlling an engine power supply, a controller power supply and an HDD power supply independently, and performing optimal power supply depending on busy condition of each device in each mode. <P>SOLUTION: A printer system is connected to an engine through an engine interface, connected to a CPU through a CPU interface, connected to a hard disk through a hard disk interface, connected to a host computer through a host interface, connected to a printer engine through a printer engine interface, and connected to a scanner through a scanner interface. The system has a means for independently controlling a power supply for the engine, a power supply for the CPU, a power supply for the hard disk, a power supply for the host computer, a power supply for the printer engine, and a power supply for the scanner engine. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
