PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safe plate working machine preventing a defect in working and machine damage due to a mounting position defect of a work holder. SOLUTION: The plate working machine has a work holder 13 which is mounted to a cross slide 12 in a position-changeable manner. The machine is provided with a holder mounting position detection means 44 to detect a mounting position of the work holder, a comparison means 40 to compare the work holder mounting position detected by means 44 and the work holder mounting position described in a working program 24 as the information for confirming and an error processing means 41 to perform warning, etc., corresponding to the comparison result of the comparison means 40.
