PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a developing device more sufficient in the cleaning performance of a developing sleeve surface. SOLUTION: This developing device is provided with a developing sleeve 8 developing by adhering developer carried on its surface to an image carrier 10 inside a developing container. In this case, the developing sleeve 8 is isolated from developer inside the container and a developer stripping and isolating plate 6 by which the developer is stripped from the surface of the developing sleeve 8 and a developing sleeve cleaning means (2, 3 and 4) by which the surface of the developing sleeve 8 is cleaned by having an adhesive web 1 abutted to the surface of the developing sleeve 8. |
