PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new protein which has a specific amino acid sequence, is a bacterial ribosome-recycling factor, is derived from a highly thermophilic bacterium, and allows the three-dimensional structural analysis necessary for the system for designing antibiotics against the factor. SOLUTION: This is a new protein which has the amino acid sequence shown by the formula, is a bacterial ribosome-recycling factor(RRF), is derived from a highly thermophilic bacterium, allows the three-dimensional structural analysis of RRF necessary for the system utilizing CARDD(Computer Aided Rational Drug Design) for designing antibiotics against, the factor, and can be used for screening RRF inhibitors and so on. This protein is obtained by screening a genomic library of a highly thermophilic bacterium Thermus thermophilus using as a probe a base sequence amplified by PCR using DNA of the highly thermophilic bacterium as a template, followed by expressing the obtained gene. |
