PURPOSE: A door closer is provided to smooth the movement of oil and the operation of a piston by installing a filter member, which gathers impurities contained in oil, and to prevent losses of the internal pressure of a door closer by securing internal pressure occurred when operating a piston. CONSTITUTION: A door closer (10) comprises; a trunk (20) comprising a piston-receiving part (21) of the inside, an oil cap hole (22) on both sides and a support shaft-inserting hole (24) on the center of the top and the bottom; a piston (30) which is coupled to the piston receiving part (21) and comprises a check valve (60) controlling the flow of oil and a rack gear (34) on the outer surface; a controlling element (40) which is coupled to the oil cap hole (20) and controls the speed of a door; a support shaft (50) which is inserted into the support shaft-inserting hole (24) and has a pinion gear (51) engaged with the rack gear (34); an oil cap (41) which comprises a head (41a), a coupled element (41b), a retreating groove (41c) and a ring groove (41d) on the front of the head to insert an O-ring (42); a coupler (43) which is inserted into a coupled element (41b) of the oil cap (41) and comprises an oil inlet (43), an oil outlet (43b), an oil-intercepting joint (43c), a cogged joint (43d) inserted to the retreating groove (41c) and an oil-controlling groove (43e); a filter (45) which is inserted into the coupler (43) and gathers the impurities contained to oil.
