PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an autocorrection timepiece, capable of coping with many kinds of products without requiring labor hours therefor. SOLUTION: The autocorrection timepiece is provided with a hand drive system, which allows a second hand drive system 120 and an hour/minute hand drive system 130 to be disposed respectively within first and second areas in the case of a three-hands analog time display, and which allows only hour/ minute hand drive system 130 for driving a wheel train including an hour hand wheel and a minute hand wheel on receiving a second drive signal to be disposed in the second area, without requiring the second hand drive system being disposed in the first area, in the case of a two-hands analog display. The timepiece is provided also with a control circuit 14, which if a hand position detection system detects hand positions as prescribed, it is deemed that the hand drive system is constructed to match the three-hands analog time display and then drives the second hand drive system and the hour/minute hand drive system to correct and display the time, and which, if the hand position detection system cannot detect hand positions as predetermined, it is deemed that the hand drive system is constructed to match the two-hands analog time display and then drives the hour/minute hand drive system to correct the time. |
