PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium iron compound oxide for a lithium secondary cell positive active material which has a large active material discharging capacity, and less cycle deterioration which can maintain the capacity after cycles, and provide a method to simply manufacture the lithium iron compound oxide. SOLUTION: A lithium iron compound oxide is an olivine structure lithium iron compound oxide whose basic composition is LiFePO4, with its average particle size less than 1 μm. Its manufacturing method consists of a material mixing process to get a mixture by mixing a lithium compound, an iron compound and an ammonium salt including phosphorus, and a calcination process to burn the mixture at temperature of 600 deg.C or more and 700 deg.C or less. |
