A system maintains link security information in a network. The system transmits link state information form a first node to a second node across an intervening link (1105). The link state information includes a link security indicator that indicates the security of the link. The system updates a forwarding table stored in a memory of said second node (1110) to indicate that the link is at least one of secure and un-secure based on the link security indicator (1115). |
