PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved electric power steering assembly. SOLUTION: The electric power steering assembly applied to an electric motor 1, to which a torque demand signal 8 is generated, operably connected to a steering mechanism 5 is disclosed to support a vehicle driver in steering a vehicle. The torque demand signal 8 includes an attenuation component depending on the measured value of torque T caused by the steering mechanism and the measured value of angular velocityωof the steering mechanism. Torque formed by the motor 1 does not disturb during 'hand-on (manual)' operation but provides electric attenuation in other operation such as a steering flick.
