The invention relates to a holding device for containers having a bottlelike shape such as fire extinguishers, more particularly for utilization in defense vehicles, having the following characteristics: a) a support part (5) extending in axial direction of the bottlelike container (1) from the area of the bottom (7) of the bottle up to the area of the neck (3) of the bottle; b) a bracket (17) affixed on each of the axial end areas of the support part (5) and having stop surfaces (33) projecting from the plane of the support part (5) to protect the container (1) against axial displacement by the interaction of the stop surfaces (33) including bearing surfaces located on the bottom (7) of the bottle and on the neck (3) of said container (1); c) at least one shell body (35) affixed between the brackets (17) on the support part (5), said shell body having a shell surface (37) encompassing a peripheral section of the body of the container (1) in order to protect the container against displacement crosswise to the axial direction and d) a latching device to releasably secure the container (1) on the support part (5) and on the brackets (17) and the shell body (35). |
