A pre-amplifier for stringed instruments is mounted in a housing separated from the stringed instrument and electrically as well as mechanically is inserted into a connection cable, one end (C1) of which can be plugged in to a plug in an output bushing on the instrument-body and its other end (C2) is plugged with a further plug into the input bushing of an amplifier or another electronic device.
