PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil cooler enabling simplification of piping configuration around an engine, facilitating engine maintenance and contributing weight reduction, and a small ship with the oil cooler. SOLUTION: The oil cooler 40 is mounted on an oil cooler mounting face 41 provided on a wall of a crankcase Cc in a gap between an intake pipe and the engine, and the oil cooler 40 is further provided with an oil filter 42. The oil cooler 40 comprises a plate member 43 and covering member 44a and 44b for covering faces of the plate member 43, and they are removably fixed to each other by screw means 47 to form a cooling water passage 48a and an oil passage 48b inside. The oil passage 48b communicates with an oil passage 38 formed in the wall of the crankcase Cc and further communicates with an inner space of the oil filter 42 through an oil port 57.
