PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parking lock device of a simple structure, which needs no electronic controller and is operated without any electric power. SOLUTION: While fluid which is discharged from a master cylinder 8 by virtue of a load of a vehicle C mounted on a lift plate 4 is supplied to a lift-up cylinder 26 and a flap plate 15 is shifted to a lock position, an opening operation of a lock-release operation valve 33 clears up the fluid-pressure within the lift-up cylinder 26 and reclines the flap 15, shifting it into a stand-by position. At the same time, the fluid in the lift-up cylinder 26 is returned to a fluid reservoir 10. Furthermore, unloading of the vehicle C from the lift plate 4 rises the lift plate 4 to be back to a stand-by position by resilient force of a compressed spring 5, and also a drawing operation of a plunger 9 in accordance with the rise of the lift plate 4 gets the fluid inhaled from the fluid reservoir 10 into the master cylinder 8 to return to the initial state.
