TRANSFECTION OF VERTEBRATE CELL OR THE LIKE BY HOMOLOGOUS RECOMBINATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transfected primary or secondary cell which is useful for human gene therapy and into which a specified exogenous DNA is stably integrated, to provide a clonal cell strain of the secondary cell produced from the primary or secondary cell, and to provide a method for producing the clonal cell strain.

SOLUTION: This clonal cell strain of the transfected secondary cell which expresses a protein for therapeutic use and originates from a vertebrate is produced from (a) the exogenous DNA which encodes the protein for the therapeutic use and (b) the transfected primary or secondary cell into which the exogenous DNA is stably integrated so that the exogenous DNA (a) is enough expressed in the transfected primary or secondary cell. Further, the method for producing the clonal cell strain is provided.
