PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten time for a dehydrating process just before drying operation depending on the fabric quality of laundry articles. SOLUTION: The fabric quality of laundry articles is judged (S4) from the result of weight detection (S1) before washing operation of the laundry articles and the result of weight detection (S6) in a state of containing water in the laundry article. When the fabric quality of the laundry articles is judged to have low absorbing property as the result, the dehydrating process just before the drying operation is controlled to obtain a high spin-dry ratio in a short time (S25 to S30).
