PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a voice communication terminal capable of providing present communication quality of an Internet protocol network with respect to voice communication to a user without degrading mutual connectability between terminals. SOLUTION: A living confirmation request signal transmission section 201 transmits a living confirmation request signal denoting the presence of a corresponding soft phone 16 to a business telephone exchange 11 via the IP network 15. A response time detection section 202 detects an elapsed time (response time) from the transmission of the living confirmation request signal until the reception of the living confirmation request signal. A network quality estimate section 203 estimates the present communication quality of the IP network 15 with respect to the voice communication in response to the detected response time. A quality information output section 204 outputs information with respect to the estimated communication quality. The information with respect to the estimated communication quality is displayed on a display unit 107 of the soft phone 16 by means of e.g., a character string or an image.
