<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an extrusion-molded bonded magnet which can avoid the deterioration of magnetic characteristics caused by heating the magnet during its molding operation and exhibit superior magnetic and molding characteristics, and to provide a method for manufacturing the magnet. <P>SOLUTION: A composition is obtained by mixing a resin binder, which contains saturated polyester thermosetting resin as its main component and which is cured at temperatues of 150°C or lower, with magnetic anisotropic powder of samarium cobalt-iron-nitrogen. The composition is supplied from a cylinder of an extrusion molding machine having a in-cylinder temperature set at 50°C and lower to a die provided with a magnetic-field orienting means and having an internal temperature set at 150°C or lower. The composition heated, melted, oriented with respect to a magnetic field within the die, is thermally cured, and extrusion-molded. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
