An apparatus for manufacturing both cold rolled steel sheets and hot dip coated steel sheets is provided, wherein a hot dip coating route and a cold rolling route are switched to each other through a simple structure, and the cold rolling route is constructed in a simple structure such that a holding member of the hot dip coating route is used in both a slow cooling zone and a cooling zone of the cold rolling route. In a steel sheet manufacturing apparatus(1A) that can switch a hot dip coating route(R1) and a cold rolling route(R2) to each other, wherein the hot dip coating route manufactures a hot dip coated steel sheet(3a) by introducing a steel sheet discharged from an annealing furnace(2) into a hot dip coating pot(8), and the cold rolling route manufactures a cold rolled steel sheet(3b) by bypassing the steel sheet without introducing the steel sheet discharged from the annealing furnace into the hot dip coating pot, the steel sheet manufacturing apparatus is characterized in that: a furnace flange unit(10) in which a furnace flange(11) for the hot dip coating route that extend vertically and formed by at least an alloying furnace and a furnace flange(20) for the cold rolling route that extends vertically are installed in parallel is installed in a hot dip coating route that ascends from the hot dip coating pot such that the furnace flange route is movable in a horizontal direction; in the hot dip coating route, the furnace flange unit is moved to one side to correspond a furnace body for the hot dip coating route with the hot dip coating route; and when converting the hot dip coating route into the cold rolling route, the furnace flange unit is moved to the other side to connect the cold rolling route bypassing the hot dip coating pot to a lower part of the furnace flange for the cold rolling route and connect a succeeding cold rolling route to an upper part of the furnace flange for the cold rolling route.
