SOLID FUEL AND PROCESS FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

A solid fuel which can be easily and inexpensively produced even from a material such as a water-containing waste; and a process for producing the solid fuel. The following steps are selectively conducted: a mixing step (10) in which waste mushroom cultivation beds resulting from the sawdust-based cultivation of a mushroom are mixed with a binder to obtain a combustible mixture; a kneading step (20) in which the mixture is kneaded while utilizing a water ingredient to obtain a kneaded mixture having moldability imparted thereto; a molding step (30) in which a necessary pressure is applied to the kneaded mixture to obtain a molding; a step for drying with an aerobic bacterium (40) in which the aerobic bacterium is multiplied in the molding to thereby dry the molding; and a crushing step (50) in which the molding dried in the drying step (40) is crushed to obtain a solid fuel of a desired size.
