<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cage for a ball bearing which suppresses fracture at assembly in a ball bearing and prevents easy fall-off after assembly in a ball bearing. <P>SOLUTION: A cage 1 is formed by mixedly including narrow opening pockets 21 having an opening 30 with a width W1 narrower than the outer diameter D of a ball 40 and wide opening pockets 22 having an opening 30 with a width W2 wider than the outer diameter D of the ball 40. When assembling the cage 1, stress applied to a pillar part and deformation amount are reduced by including the wide opening pocket 22. After assembling the cage 1, in addition, the cage 1 is prevented from falling off by the ball 40 inserted into the narrow opening pocket 21. Beside suppressing fracture of the cage 1 at assembly thereof, by so doing, easy fall-off after assembly thereof is prevented. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
