PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a doll manufacturing method excellent in productivity, capable of efficiently manufacturing a doll wearing a stretchable object fitted to the body at low cost. SOLUTION: The doll manufacturing method comprises at least: a doll element body preparation process of preparing a doll element body 1 composed of an element body part 2 and cover parts 3L and 3R; a cylindrical cover body segmentation process of cutting a stretchable long cylindrical body S freely stretchably knitted and formed in a cylindrical shape into the length corresponding to the cover parts 3L and 3R and segmenting a cylindrical cover body Sp; a covering process of putting the cylindrical cover body Sp on the cover parts 3L and 3R while stretching it; and an assembly process of joining the cover parts 3L and 3R on which the cylindrical cover body Sp is put to the element part 2.
