Provided is a method for easily evaluating whether a relative positional shift between both sides is within an allowance in manufacturing of a both-side aspherical lens. The method for evaluating the graduated refraction power lens firstly measures dioptry at a plurality of points of the graduated refraction power lens so as to obtain an actually measured dioptry distribution. Next, comparison dioptry distribution created according to the actually measured dioptry distribution is compared to a defective dioptry distribution prepared in advance so as to search the similarity between them. If it is judged that they are similar according to the result of the similarity search, it is judged that the graduated refraction power lens is defective.
