The present invention relates to a high pressure hydrogen gas charging system to charge high pressure hydrogen gas as fuel for a vehicle and, more specifically, relates to a system and a method to charge high pressure hydrogen gas, capable of preventing malfunction, caused by pressure imbalance in each part, even if hydrogen gas is charged at ultrahigh pressure. To this end, when gas of a gas supply source is charged into an actual vehicle after primary compression, high pressure gas, stored in a storage tank after primary compression, is secondarily compressed at high pressure and directly transferred to the charging system. Therefore, since there is no need to prepare an extra ultrahigh pressure storage tank for two-step ultrahigh pressure compression, the present invention is capable of significantly reducing an occupied area or manufacturing costs for a compressing facility as well as stably charging and compressing hydrogen gas at ultrahigh pressure by restarting a charging process after making an equal pressure state when the pressure is decreased by the charging. |
