<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make improvement of working efficiency compatible with protection of a fuel cell stack when performing a discharge treatment during stopping of power generation of the stack. <P>SOLUTION: A discharging method of a fuel cell stack automatically controls a fuel cell stack 14 in such a manner that, during performing the discharge treatment when cell voltages Vc of each cell are measured, if the minimum cell voltage Vmin among the measured cell voltages Vc of each cell 12 is not lower than a prescribed voltage V1, the stack 14 is discharged, and if the voltage Vmin is not higher than the voltage V1, the stack 14 is not discharged. Accordingly, the voltage of each cell 12 is not short-circuited to the 0 [V], the whole cells 12 are protected and consequently, the working efficiency is improved as well as the stack 14 itself is protected. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
