PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for an internal combustion engine including a cylinder pressure sensor, for accurately detecting the occurrence of preignition and adequately suppressing the occurrence thereof.SOLUTION: The control device includes a cylinder pressure sensor 20 having a pressure sensitive part 22 exposed into a cylinder 12, and a control unit 40 for controlling the operating condition of an internal combustion engine 10. In operating cycles of the internal combustion engine 10, the control unit 40 acquires a mass combustion rate MFBax at a specified crank angle ax, to which the impact of thermal strain generated in the pressure sensitive part 22 of the cylinder pressure sensor 20 is reflected. When finding out an increase in the impact of the thermal strain on the basis of the mass combustion rate MFBax (a reduction of the MFBax), it executes preignition suppressing control to suppress the occurrence of preignition.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
