PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain durability against liquefaction over a long time, when implementing a liquefaction countermeasure through ground desaturation.SOLUTION: A method of liquefaction countermeasure through ground desaturation includes the following steps for: collecting samples from a ground to be improved; determining a saturation degree that maintains a control value, by conducting a test on water retaining property of the samples; installing pumping means for gravity drainage, negative pressure-type water pumping and others, in order to lower a groundwater level in the ground to be improved; desaturation of the ground to be improved by lowering the groundwater level, through pumping of the groundwater from the ground to be improved using the pumping means until reaching the saturation degree that allows the control value to be maintained; and preventing liquefaction by maintaining the desaturation of the ground to be improved, by suspending groundwater pumping by the pumping means.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
