The invention relates to an underwater drive unit for a swimming and diving aid. At least a propeller, an electric motor having a motor housing, a motor shaft that transmits the driving force of the electric motor to the propeller, and a control device that is arranged in an electronics housing and is connected to the electric motor via connection cables are associated with said underwater drive unit. At least part of the underwater drive unit is arranged in at least one water-floodable compartment in a hull of the swimming and diving aid. According to the invention, the electronics housing is connected to the motor housing in such a way as to be water-tight all around in relation to an opening in the electronics housing and to an opening in the motor housing, resulting in a water-tight connection between the motor housing and the electronics housing. |
