FREE STANDING PAPER CONTAINER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a free standing paper container that is flat when not in use and can easily be formed as a cup-shaped container superior in a shape retention by a simple operation when in use.SOLUTION: A free standing paper container is characterized as follows: a rectangular container blank 3 obtained by laminating a thermoplastic resin film 2 in an inner surface of a paper base material 1 is two-folded with the surface of the thermoplastic resin film 2 in the inside, both sides 4 are bonded, and a folded side 5 is made a bottom 6 side; two parallel vertical cuts 8 positioned substantially in the center of the folded side 5 and extending upward by starting from the folded side 5 are provided at predetermined intervals to the paper base material 1 in a side surface part 7 opposed across the folded side 5 of the container blank 3; a horizontal cut 10 is provided to the paper base material 1 in the folded side 5 positioned between the two vertical cuts 8 and the inside lower end of an adhesive part 9 of both sides 4 of the container blank 3; and the thermoplastic resin film 2 laminated in an inner surface of the paper base material 1 is pseudo-bonded with the paper base material 1 in an area S separated with a virtual contour 11 of a convex arc shape passing the outside of the upper end of the two vertical cuts 8 from the inside lower end of the adhesive part 9 of both sides 4 of the container blank 3.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
