A backlight module, applied to a wide-gamut curved display. Aiming at the problem of insufficient backlight brightness of quantum dot technology, compensation light sources (22) are additionally arranged in a backlight module, the compensation light sources (22) are arranged on at least one side of two sides of two corresponding long edges (32) of a light guide plate (3), at least one compensation light source (22) is located on one side of each long edge (32), and the compensation light sources (22) are white light LED lamp bars or other monochromatic LED light bars compensated according to a gamut demand. By arranging the compensation light sources (22), the backlight module compensates a certain luminous flux, so as to improve the brightness or gamut performance of a display, thereby being beneficial to the large size design of a wide gamut curved display, and also being beneficial to the reduction of the costs of an optical film set. |
