PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pedestrian crossing detection device capable of correctly detecting a pedestrian crossing from the image obtained by imaging the surrounding of a vehicle.SOLUTION: A pedestrian crossing detection device includes: a detection area setting part (21) for setting a first area equivalent to a part of the road of the periphery of a vehicle (10) on the image photographed with the periphery of the vehicle (10) and formed by an imaging part (2) mounted on the vehicle (10), and a second area adjacent to the first area along the direction on the image corresponding to a first direction crossing the advancing direction of the vehicle (10) with respect to the first area; a repetition pattern detection part (22) for detecting a first pattern in which the fluctuation of the luminance value is repeated along the first direction in the first area; and a pedestrian crossing detection part (23) for detecting the first pattern and the second pattern as the pedestrian road when the first pattern exists in the first area and the second pattern in which the fluctuation of the luminance value is repeated along the first direction exists in the second area.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
