PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio communication system that efficiently uses a base station and can recover communication even when a fault occurs in the base station.SOLUTION: A radio communication system in an embodiment includes a plurality of base stations each including two or more radio devices including a first radio device and a second radio device and a control unit for controlling the two or more radio devices. Each radio device in each base station functions as any of a master radio device that leads slave radio devices in the other base stations, and is able to communicate with a mobile station different from the base stations or a slave radio device that is led by a master radio device in other base station to communicate with the master radio device in the other base station. If the control unit in each base station detects a fault in the first radio device in its base station when the first radio device is functioning as the master radio device and the second radio device is functioning as the slave radio device, the control unit causes the second radio device to function as the master radio device.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
