<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium secondary battery with a superior high temperature cycle characteristic even when a lithium-manganese compound oxide is used for a lithium-transition element compound oxide composing a positive active material. <P>SOLUTION: The lithium secondary battery contains the lithium-manganese compound oxide having a spinel structure as a main component of the positive active material. At least elements of sodium and aluminum are contained in the positive active material, at least one type of element selected from a predetermined element group is contained as an element other than sodium and aluminum, and each content ratio with respect to the positive active material of at least one type of element belonging to the predetermined element group is 10-5,000ppm. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
