PURPOSE: A method and a system for settling a credit card by using a mobile terminal are provided to perform a credit card settlement by using a mobile terminal by downloading a credit card settlement program and installing it in the mobile terminal. CONSTITUTION: The Internet(150) transmits and receives data to and from mobile communication network. A WAP(Wireless Application Protocol) gateway(140) makes the mobile communication network and the Internet to interwork. An SMS(Short Message Service) center(230) converts a transfer message into a short message and transmits it to a receiving side. A mobile terminal(210) downloads and installs a credit card settlement program and sends data on credit card settlement wirelessly and receives and outputs a message according to approval of settlement. A credit card company server(170) approves card settlement. A wireless NATE server(220) transfers data related to credit card settlement received from the mobile terminal(210) to the credit card company server(170), and transmits a settlement approval result to the mobile terminal(210). |
