The image setter that can be situated below exposed and hardened photopolymer according to the present invention comprises a UV radiation source (1) with wavelength in the range of 365 nm to 405 nm, which is provided with a screen (2) made of UV radiation absorbing material and covering an LCD panel (3) with a removed color filter situated opposite to the UV radiation source (1). The resolution of the LCD panel (3) is at least 200 dots per inch and the diagonal thereof is in the range of 5 to 15 inches. LCD panel (3), being connected with a control unit, is covered by a window (4) of vitreous silica with thickness in the range of 2 to 8 mm, constituting a base of a receptacle (7) for photopolymer (8). The upper surface thereof is covered by a layer (5) of silicagel with the thickness in the range of 0.5 to 4 mm. A non-adhesive, UV radiation-permeable, fluoropolymer film (6) with the thickness in the range of 0.1 to 0.6 mm is located on the silicagel layer (5). The lower side thereof is chemically treated for fastening onto the silicagel layer (5) with a force needful to unstick 1 cme2 of the surface from the hardened photopolymer, at the most 3 N. In the embodiment of the image setter that can be situated above the exposed and hardened photopolymer, the LCD panel (3) resolution is at least 100 dots per inch and the diagonal thereof is in the range of 9 to 65 inches. However, this embodiment has not the silicagel layer and the photopolymer receptacle is external. |
