1. A compound of the formula (I)or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, wherein
A is a group of the formula wherein (*) indicates the point of attachment; in which RQ is amino or alkylamino, which is optionally substituted; or a group of the formulawherein (*) indicates the point of attachment; and wherein
m is an integer selected from 0, 1, 2 or 3; Y1 is oxygen and Y2 is methylene; and Rh amino or alkylamino, which is optionally substituted; Q and W are each oxygen; R1 is hydrogen; X is C(RaRb)n, where n is 1, 2, or 3, and each of Ra and Rb is independently selected in each instance from the group consisting of hydrogen, alkyl, and alkoxy; R2 is phenyl substituted with one or more methoxy, isopropoxy, hydroxymethyl, methoxymethyl, methoxyethyl, halo or 2-(morpholino)ethoxy groups; R3 is hydrogen; R4 is alkyl, which is optionally substituted; Z is S(O)2; R5 is 4-aminophenyl, 4-methoxyphenyl, 4-isopropoxyphenyl, 4-hydroxymethylphenyl; 3-amino-4-methoxyphenyl, 3-amino-4-isopropoxyphenyl, 4-amino-3-fluorophenyl, 3-fluoro-4-methoxyphenyl, 3,4-methylenedioxyphenyl, or a group of the formula:wherein (*) indicates the point of attachment; in which X5 is O, S or NH; and RY is (1-4C)alkylthio, (1-4C)alkylsulfinyl, (1-4C)alkylsulfonyl or NHRX or NRXRZ and each of RX and RZ is independently methyl, isopropyl, cyclopropyl, isobutyl, tert-butyl, cyclohexyl, 4-piperidinyl 1-cyclopentylpiperidin-4-yl, or the group NRXRZ is optionally substituted pyrrolidino, piperidino or piperazino. |
