<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-valued recording method of optical disk by which a stable recording operation is allowed independently of the individual difference of the optical disk and the change of the environmental condition by optimizing the recording condition. <P>SOLUTION: This method comprises steps for: reading out the recording condition W (S1); calculating a recording condition changing range (S2); calculating a change interval (S3); clearing a counter (S4); recording with the recording condition W(i) (S5); reproducing (S6); sampling (S7); calculating Σδ<SP>2</SP>(S8); carrying out the counter increment (S9): calculating a minimum value of Σδ<SP>2</SP>(S10); and setting the recording condition (S11). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
